Hayatou: CAF president: faces Swiss probe
Long reigning African football chief, Issa Hayatou is among 10 FIFA executive committee members to be interrogated in Zurich as the authorities in Switzerland began investigations into the 2018 and 2022 World Cup hosting bids.

Hayatou is the president of the Confederation of African Football, CAF.

He is not the only African to face the corruption probe. Also listed are Ivory Coast’s Jacques Anouma and Egypt’s Hany Abo Rida.

The others are: Angel maria Villar Llona of Spain, Michael D’Hooghe, from Belgium, Senes Erzik, Turkey, Worawi Makudi, Thailand, Mario Lefkaritis, Cyprus, Rafael Slaguero, Guatemala and Vitaly Mutko, head of Russia’s 2018 World Cup and sports minister.

Reports said Michel Platini, UEFA President and Sepp Blatter, the FIFA boss are not on the cards yet for interrogation.
