A man has been charged with stealing his own barrister’s phone during a court appearance.

It happened in Britain, where Bobby Heath has been accused of taking the phone at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on 1 May.

The 25-year-old, from southeast London, was in court pleading guilty to possession of cannabis and driving without insurance, according to a report by Sky News.

Magistrates fined him £165 and he had to pay further costs of £170.

His driving licence was also endorsed with six points.

Heath has been bailed to appear again at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on 2 June in relation to his lawyer’s phone.
