Nigeria’s president-elect Muhammadu Buhari has described Nigeria’s oil industry as a mess, just like ‘the rest of the country’.
Buhari, who was a former oil minister and a former Nigerian head of state, spoke on an interview programme on TVC, wondering why pump price of petrol should be costing as much as N87 if all the refineries are working, the way they should.
Although he did not give any commitment on reducing the cost of petrol, he promised that his administration will review it.
Buhari also spoke on public expectations of his administration. He said Nigerians will begin to feel the impact of the new government from 1 June, since the government will live up to the All Progressives Congress manifesto commitment.
His administration, he said, will study the result of privatisation in the power industry and also give priority to rail transportation and roads.
On the shape of his administration, he said it will be peopled by ‘technocrats and people of integrity.
“We cannot afford to make mistakes’, he said.

. i don't believe anyone's entitled to discounted gas unless they're using the issued gas cards.. However, free train rides may be in order. Perhaps even some type of job building them. lol
