Mimiko, Fayose, Lamido absent at PDP govs meeting with Jonathan

Governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo) and Ayo Fayose (Ekiti) were reportedly absent at a meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and PDP governors in Abuja Wednesday.

At about 4.45pm, the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio led his members to the meeting being held at the State House.

The governors attending the meeting were Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Lyel Imoke (Cross River), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Martin Elechi (Eboyin) and Idris Wada (Kogi).

Of the absentees only Fayose delivered his state to Jonathan in the Saturday’s presidential poll.

Lamido, Yuguda, Aliyu, Shema and Suswam, who lost their states also lost their senatorial elections.
