Thousands of electorate who turned out on Saturday to vote candidates of their choice in the presidential and National Assembly elections were disappointed as accreditation was decayed.

Hundreds of voters who turned up at Oredo Ward 8, Eyanugie Primary School, off 2nd East Circular Road, waited patiently on line to get their accreditation done.

An ad-hoc staff of INEC described the situation as a general one, adding that INEC ‎is working hard to resolve the problem.

Edo state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barr. Mike Igini, however debunked the claims of the ad-hoc staff. He said that it was an isolated case.

Igini said the problem is that the card readers were yet to replace the Abuja smart cards‎ the carry with those of Edo.
