Former Federal Capital Territory Minister and Kaduna All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has commended the accreditation exercise and turn out of voters in Kaduna.

According to El-Rufai, the accreditation was flawless as it took him less than a minute to get accredited .

Fielding questions from journalists at his Kaduna residence, El-Rufai who frowned at the delay by INEC to commence the accreditation exercise as at 8:00 am scheduled time, said he was luckier than President Goodluck Jonathan, whose card reader failed severally before he later captured.

His words,” I am much more luckier than Goodluck Jonathan as my card reader didn’t reject my voter card and finger print” .

He however said what didn’t go down well with him is the accreditation exercise that started at 10:30am at his polling units and other place in the town.

“If INEC is two and half hour behind schedule within the town, I wonder what will happen in the rural areas”. he queried.

He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega to investigate why it took two hours for material to arrive at polling units for accreditation and voting.

On his assessment and impression about the whole process, El-Rufai expressed optimism that the election would peaceful in Kaduna against the fears earlier expressed by the residents.
