Serb coach Milutin Sredojevic quit after Uganda were bundled out of the 2015 All-Africa Games qualifying competition at the weekend.

The east Africans could only draw 0-0 with Mozambique in Kampala and lost 4-1 on penalties in a two-leg competition restricted to under-23 footballers.

Top Sudanese club Al-Hilal later said Sredojevic, a 45-year-old who has worked in numerous African countries, would be joining them to replace sacked Belgian Patrick Aussems.

Success-starved Ugandan supporters became frustrated after the shootout and hurled stones and plastic bottles toward home players, coaches and officials.

Some called for the resignations of Sredojevic and national football federation boss Moses Magogo.
