Buhari's wife donates drugs to Boko Haram victims

Hajiya Aisha Buhari, wife of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential Candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday donated assorted drugs to the victims of Saturday’s Maiduguri multiple blasts.

The death toll from the blast has hit over 100 as at Monday morning.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the blasts had claimed 58 lives and injured 138 people.
Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima, presented the drugs at a Specialists Hospital, Maiduguri on behalf of Buhari’s wife.

The governor’s wife said the donation was to mitigate the devastating impact of the blasts on the injured people.

“Hajiya Buhari is touched by the impact of the blasts on the people and she has asked me to bring the drugs as part of her assistance in the treatment of injured,” she said.

Dr. Hamza Mamza, Head of Clinical Services of the hospital expressed delight on the gesture of the donor and promised to use the drugs for the purpose intended.
