Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe sparked a mild frenzy on Twitter Wednesday afternoon when he asked if buying English Championship club Leeds United would be a good idea.

The New Zealand born actor, who is a long-time fan of the club and already co-owns rugby league club South Sydney Rabbitohs of the Australian National Rugby League, made the inquiry in response to a Leeds United fan.

Crowe then further tweeted a vision for the club if he became owner, stating that “Every thought and every decision has to be about success on the field.”

Leeds United was owned by Italian businessman Massimo Cellino who is currently barred from running the club until April 10 after being found unfit to run the club.

Cellino was found guilty of tax evasion in an Italian court last year and has since sold his personal stake in the club and the company which owns the troubled Yorkshire club; Eleaonora Sports Limited.
