Equatorial Guinea on Friday was fined by the Confederation of African Football 100,000 U.S. dollars for Thursday’s unrest in an Africa Cup of Nations semifinal in Malabo.

The chaos, which caused the injury of 36 fans, suspended the game for over half an hour.

Ghana won 3-0 in the end to meet Cote d’Ivoire in the final in Bata on Sunday.

But CAF said that despite the punishment, Equatorial Guinea fans would be allowed into the third place play off against Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday.
