Yakubu Ayegbeni is back in English football action, with championship side Reading.
The 32 year old striker popularly called, Yak, signed for Reading today, as a free agent from Qatar club, Al Rayya.
Reports said the deal is for a short time.
Yakubu had played for Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn Rovers as a striker and ranks third in the top 10 African scorers with 95 goals, behind only Emmanuel Adebayor (96) and Didier Drogba (103).
‘The Yak arrives in Reading, I’m ready to go, I’m ready to give everything, come on the Yak, we’re ready to go,’ the striker announced after signing.
