Gunmen have attacked the All Progressives Congress, campaign office in Omuku, Rivers state just some hours before the scheduled campaign rally of the governorship candidate, Dakuku Peterside.
Omoku is the headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Andoni local Government. The gunmen struck early today.
It was the third attack on the APC in the state.

The scheduled rally was postponed.
The campaign manager of Dakuku Peterside organization in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni(ONELGA) local Government, Austin Ahiamadu, said the attack on the party’s office was intended to disrupt the APC campaign rally.
Throughout the night there were sporadic shootings with gunmen attacking key loyalists of our party.
“Other parties have organized campaigns in ONELGA. APC members have never attacked them. The action is cowardly and action meant to intimidate APC.”, Ahiamadu said.
Also confirming the attack Felix Okorogie said the attack was a cowardly action to intimidate APC.
He, however, commended the security agencies for their prompt response to the distress sent to them.
The Police have not confirmed the latest attack on APC loyalists and APC office in ONELGA.
The campaign rally kicked off despite the attack on APC office in Omoku.
