Chief Elias Mbam, the Chairman, of Nigeria’s Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), said on Friday that Ebonyi people would have no cause not to massively vote for President Goodluck Jonathan.
Mbam spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone as the PDP launched its Presidential and Governorship Rally at the Abakiliki Township Stadium.
He said that the people of Ebonyi had resolved to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and other PDP candidates, because the state benefited from the present government in terms of infrastructural development.
Mbam also said that Jonathan-led administration gave key appointments to Ebonyi indigenes.
“Ebonyi people affirmed that Jonathan deserves Ebonyi votes because the state has benefitted immensely from this government.
“He approved the conversion of the Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) center in Abakiliki to National VVF Centre and also approved a Federal Government owned university for the state,’’ he said.
According to Mbam, Ebonyi from inception is a PDP state, adding that the people of the state would not reverse that during the gubernatorial and presidential elections.
“The sons and daughters of Ebonyi have been appointed into responsible positions in this administration.
“The turnout of Ebonyians for the rally is a testimony to the level of support they have for PDP.
“ PDP will record landslide in Ebonyi during the February general elections,’’ Mbam said.
