Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, a lawyer from Bauchi North constituency, on Friday emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Bauchi State.
Abubakar, according to the Returning Officer, Mr Oluwole Rotimi (SAN), contested with seven other aspirants and scored 934 votes to clinch the ticket.
Rotimi added that Alhaji Yakubu Lame, former Minister of Police Affairs, scored 806, Alhaji Yusuf Tuggar, 526 and Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed, 194 votes.
Others included Alhaji Ibrahim Zailani, former member of the House of Representatives, 161, Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko, 92, Alhaji Nuhu Gidado, 86, and Alhaji Mohammed Umar with 56 votes.
