President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of Mauritania and Chairman of the African Union on Monday arrived in Burkina Faso for urgent talks on the country’s political transition following the ouster of veteran president Blaise Compaore.
Aziz is due to hold talks at the airport in Ouagadougou with Lieutenant-Colonel Isaac Zida, the officer the army installed as the head of the west African nation after Compaore fled.
