A 57-year-old Thai woman had 20 stitches in hospital after she was viciously attacked by a python that appeared from her toilet.

Rampeung Onlamai of Samkok, Thailand, was getting out of the shower when the huge snake sank its fangs into her right hand and attempted to drag her down the drain, according to a report by Metro.co.uk.

She grabbed a nearby broom to fend it off and screamed for her daughter’s help who rushed to her rescue and pried the python’s head off her hand.

The python eventually slithered back down the toilet.

Rampeung was taken to hospital and had to have 20 stitches in her hand. Local officers are attempting to capture the snake.
