Higuaìn Hat-trick Gives Napoli Big Serie A Win

A second half hat-trick from Gonzalo Higuaìn along with a brace from Marek Hamsik helped Napoli come from a goal down to demolish Hellas Verona 6-2 in a Serie A match on Sunday.

Midfielder Emil Hallfreðsson gave Hellas a first minute lead and though it took until a minute before half time for Napoli to equalise through Hamsik, Hellas got blown away by a frenetic second half display by Napoli.

Hamsik added a second just before the hour mark and though Nico Lopez levelled for Hellas moments later, further goals from Higuaìn with a hat-trick as well as a Jose Callejon effort sealed a comfortable win for Rafa Benitez’s side.

Elsewhere in Serie A on Sunday, Mauro Icardi’s penalty was enough to hand Inter Milan a lone goal win at lowly Cesena in a match Inter had two goals disallowed for offside.

And in Rome, Lazio beat Torino 2-1 to claim a fourth successive league win and climb to fifth as a result with 15 points, seven points behind leaders Juventus.
