Gen Muhammadu Buhari, the leading presidential aspirant in the All Progressives Congress has thanked Nigerians for turning out in huge numbers to grace the occasion of his formal declaration for the 2015 presidency.
The event on 15 October at the Eagle square Abuja, witnessed a huge crowd of thousands of Nigerians, who came to support the 2015 presidential ambition of Gen Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd).
“We thank all the governors, Senators, House of Representative members, APC Board of trustees members, APC, NEC members, former ministers, members of different state houses of assembly, activists, captains of industries, people from the Diaspora and all other Nigerians numerous to mention for attending the formal declaration”, said Iyke Jasper, a spokesperson for the Buhari group.
“Muhammadu Buhari is challenged now, more than ever by this display of support and love that cut across the South and North and will put in his very best with everything in his arsenal to rescue Nigeria from its present comatose state.
“To set the records straight, we wish to reinstate why Nigeria still needs Muhammadu Buhari to be the president come 2015. Muhammadu Buhari is strong, healthy, fresh and physically fit. Buhari is highly respected and Influential, Buhari is charismatic and proactive. Buhari is disciplined. Buhari has zero tolerance to corruption and materialism. Buhari has a great followership and loyalist. Buhari is strong willed and extremely intelligent. Buhari is a serious person, focused and God fearing.
Buhari is fearless and bold. Buhari is accessible and approachable by all. Above all, Buhari is highly influential and respected, even among the minute few that hate him because they want to continue in corruption. At this point in Nigeria, we need a man who is highly influential, respected and followed to be at the helm of affairs so that when he gives instructions, people will obey and he will also live by example so that everyone will align and make Nigeria great again. It is clear that the present leader and PDP lack these essential qualities.
“We encourage young Nigerians to support Muhammadu Buhari to become president come 2015 so that he can fix Nigeria and hand it over to the young ones. We do not see anything good to hand over to the young ones at this point and that is why we demand that one of the few who is still standing tall and upright among the generation that has ruined Nigeria should step forward and fix it before it is handed over to the young ones.
“We believe in the ability of young Nigerians but we fear that the mafias and cabals will subdue the young people in power, if the system is not fixed first by a highly influential, respected and experienced man from the generation of people who missed the track to a greater Nigeria. Finally, we encourage Nigerians to continue to persevere and maintain the yearning for positive change until the change is achieved come 2015. From all indications, it looks good and we can all see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we must remain focused until we get there come 2015.
