Ngilari gets 2 nominees for deputy governor

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa state has sent two nominees for appointment as deputy governor to Gov. Bala Ngilari.

The state Deputy Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Jingi Rufai, disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday in Yola.

Rufai said the development followed a request to that effect by Ngilari.

“I can’t tell you the names of the nominees, but I can tell you that we sat at the State Working Committee level following instruction from the governor that we should nominate a deputy for him.

“We have forwarded the names to him to make the final choice,” Rufai said.

However, a reliable source at the party secretariat said that the names submitted to the governor were those of the state Secretary of the party, Mr Tahir Shehu, and that of the Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Hamman.
