Ahead of the 2015 presidential elections, All Progressives Congress, APC members of Kaduna State House of Assembly have adopted former Head of State and Congress for Progress Change , CPC’s presidential flag bearer in 2011 elections, General Muhammadu Buhari as their sole candidate in the forthcoming 2015 presidential elections .
Out of the 25 members of the House of Assembly , 12 members who belong to the APC agreed to endorse Buhari against other possible aspirants that for the presidential seat.
According to them, General Buhari is only the candidate that has all it takes to deliver Nigeria from the shackles of poverty, economic backwardness and bad leadership that hitherto have denied Nigerians dividends of democracy.
At a press conference this afternoon , the assembly members led by the Minority leader of the State Assembly , Mohammed Ali , said the decision to support Buhari is a collective resolve to chart a course for APC with a view to save Nigeria.
While noting that Nigeria is in dire need of leaders that will save it from the current state it found itself owing to abuse of procedure occasioned by endemic corruption and insecurity, Ali also empahsised the need to have a leader in person of Buhari if Nigeria has to develop.
Ali further stated that the assembly members concluded to give support to Buhari because , ” History has it that under Buhari as the Military Head of State , Nigeria blossomed and discipline was restored and Nigeria respected all over the world”.
The APC members that signed the endorsement letter are Muhammed Ali , Kawo constituency, Aminu Shagali , Sabon-Gari Constituency , Abdullahi Khalid,Magajin Gari constituency, Haliru Sambo , Ikara Constituency and Haruna Inuwa , Doka/Gabasawa Constituency.Others are : Gambo Mohammed, Igabi-East , Nasiru Maikano, Ungwar Sanusi, Bala Yunusa , Tudun Wada, Yakubu Yusuf ,Zaria Keweye, Yusuf Zailani , Igabi-West and Bello Shuaibu , Basawa constituencies .
