Two, they would tell you that nobody seems to know Kalu’s father and that all we got to know was Kalu without the whereabouts of his father. For me, those are personal issues. They are not constitutional issues or electoral matters or requirement. Whether I am married or not, all that the constitution says is that you should have a primary six certificate or school certificate. Whether the father is dead or they had issues, people have had to quarrel with their parents. Whether Kalu is an Abia citizen, I would say I have known him years back before politics, even in my secondary school days. So nobody can contest that.
I keep telling people that T.A. Orji and Kalu should be allowed to walk the streets of Aba unaccompanied. Let them walk, one going in front and the other following after about five minutes. Then let’s see who would be stoned or who would be hailed. Even the T.A. Orji’s guys would say he is laying claims to his maternal home and that this was because he had issues with his dad. But for me, those things don’t really matter. Whether he is claiming his maternal home or paternal home is irrelevant. People are just looking for what accusations to level. Even in my own case, what have they not said about me? They once said my father disowned me. They’ve looked around and they don’t know what they can use against me. I have very straightforward employment and education. The institutions are there, they should go and find out. Somebody went online and was saying just any stupid thing that entered his head. I ignore such things now because I am not that old. I’m in my 40s and the records are there. When they look around and check your records and don’t find anything, they would now fabricate things. I’m sure that is the same thing that is happening to Kalu. Maybe there are other information available to them, I and others don’t know. They come up to say the man is not from Abia State or the father came from Cameroon. These are very trivial issues, my brother.

That is why I say nobody knows the root of this matter, nobody. If any third party knows, maybe that would be Kalu’s mother or Theodore Orji’s wife. If any other person gives you contrary information, it is just guess work. Nobody knows. That has even confounded me right from when the issue started up till now as we talk. And the first time I went to Kalu’s country home in Igbere, I saw this big photograph of T.A. Orji alongside other photographs. I called one of Kalu’s aides and asked, with the issues between them, what was the picture doing there? But he told me the man is the current governor of the state and that it does not matter. But this is not the impression I get outside. My brother, the thing is that nobody knows what went wrong between them.
