Hollande survives confidence vote

The French government narrowly won a crunch confidence vote in parliament Tuesday, providing a measure of relief for the hugely unpopular President Francois Hollande.

The vote, which was held as France battles a political and economic crisis, saw 269 lawmakers vote for the government while 244 voted against.
