West Ham Earn Draw at Hull

West Ham United came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw against Hull City in Monday night’s Premier League match at the KC Stadium.

Abel Hernandez made his debut for Hull in the match and Hull’s record signing opened his account with a well taken goal in the 37th minute off a cross by Ahmed Elmohamady.

The Uruguay striker’s powerfully headed goal was followed by him crashing a shot off the West Ham crossbar, with Nikica Jelavic’s header on the rebound ruled out by the assistant referee’s offside flag.

Hull’s lead lasted just five minutes of the second half as Ecuador striker Enner Valencia equalised for West Ham with a scorching long range drive into the top corner.

Hull were back in front after 64 minutes through Mohamed Diame’s shot from just inside the area, but the Hammers levelled again four minutes later when a Diafra Sakho shot deflected in off Hull defender Curtis Davies.

West Ham came so close to snatching a win late on, but Valencia’s header late in the match was diverted to the crossbar and away as both sides settled for a point each.
