Dimgba Igwe, veteran newspaper editor and columnist was knocked down today by a vehicle while jogging in Okota area of Lagos. It was a fatal knock: the 58 year old Dimgba died.
The shocking death has benumbed the Nigerian newspaper community. chairman of the Sun newspapers, Dr. Orji Kalu, described the sudden death as the darkest day in the history of his organisation.
Until his death, Dimgba as he was fondly called edited Weekend Concord, with his friend,Mike Awoyinfa. They carried the partnership into The Sun newspapers.
Dimgba was the vice chairman of The Sun until today’s tragedy.
He and Mike also co-authored several leadership books an biographies.
