One hundred and sixty people who were suspected to have had primary and secondary contacts with the late Port Harcourt doctor, Dr. Iyke Samuel Enamuo, and wife are now under medical surveillance, just as the wife has been flown to Lagos for adequate medical attention.
Dr. Sampson Parker, Commissioner of Health in Rivers State said that the wife,also a medical doctor has been to flown to Lagos because of t her emotional state after the death of the husband.
Relations of those whose corpses were deposited in the UPTH morgue have been asked to be patient till the decontamination of the mortuary, where the doctor’s body was kept.
The doctor’s corpse was deposited at the morgue on Friday 22 August 22 at time news of Ebola outbreak had not been made known.
