Serena Williams: thrashes Ana Ivanovic

Serena Williams has crushed Ana Ivanovic, 6-4, 6-1 to win the  Cincinnati Masters, her second hard court victory this season before the US Open.

The title, her first in Cincinnati,  was also the 32 year old American’s  62nd career  title on the WTA tour.

Williams, who finished runner-up last year, needed just 62 minutes to demolish Ana.

This also marked Williams’ second title in the month of August as she looks to be in fine form heading into the season’s final major, the US Open which begins August 25 in New York.
