Carlos Tevez's Father Released

Hours after he was abducted from his car, Segundo Tevez the father of Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has been released by his captives according to the family lawyer in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Segundo Tevez was taken when his car was intercepted by unknown men in the Moron area of the Argentine capital, with a reported ransom of $400,000 paid to the kidnappers for his release.

It is not the first time relatives of high-profile South America footballers have been kidnapped, with the father of Milito brothers Gabriel and Diego as well as former midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme’s brother kidnap victims in the past.
