The latest edition of the much anticipated virtual football game, EA Sports’ FIFA; better known as FIFA 15, has launched worldwide today, promising improvement in player emotions along with a few new features.

Having made do with a demo version since early September, the full-version FIFA 15 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with versions for Nintendo Wii and 3DS as well as for PlayStation Vita in the works.

EA Sports executive David Rutter stated ”We believe we have built a game in ‘FIFA 15’ that delivers the most immersive and responsive gameplay experience ever in the ‘FIFA’ franchise, and we can’t wait for the millions of fans to start their season and experience all of the innovations.”

FIFA 15 includes an ‘Ultimate Team’ feature which allows users to sign loan players for a limited duration of matches. There is also a new feature called the ‘Concept Squad’ which gives gamers access to the game’s database to create a dream squad.

Another new feature is ‘Tactical Defending’ which promises to have gamers become more precise with their defending. FIFA 15 also sees virtual footballers being closely imitating their real life inspirations in appearance and attributes hence, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi – who is the global cover art of the game – would be just as much a headache to the opposition.

Barcelona’s Messi is given the highest rating of 93 (out of 100) on FIFA 15 while Real Madrid’s Ronaldo is rated 92. Nigerian Adebayo Akinfenwa is rated as the strongest player in the game though his overall rating is 62.

Other aspects improved in FIFA 15 include the ‘Living Pitches’, which sees the playing grass get scarred due to the players’ boots, as well as a camera view jiggling to to correspond with home fans’ celebration when the home team scores.
