Defence Hq says FaceBook account of Defence Chief Badeh, is fake

Nigeria’s Defence Headquaters on Friday, published a disclaimer on its Twitter account, alerting the general public to “the existence of a FaceBook account purportedly belonging to Nigeria’s Defence Chief, Air Chief Marshal AS Badeh.

The Tweet reads: “@DefenceInfoNG: Disclaimer: Facebook Account on the Chief of Defence Staff http://t.co/3XZNBAUqg5”

“The fake Facebook account” the Defence Hq explained on its website “was created by some cyber fraudsters, goes by different fake identities and official photographs of the Chief of Defence Staff.”Nigeria’s Defence Chief, Bade”

“The Defence Headquarters wish to state clearly that the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal AS Badeh does not operate either official or private facebook account.

DHQ says, it “therefore dissociate the office of the Defence Staff from the fraudulent facebook account.”

It warned: “Any correspondence or exchange of messages on the platform has nothing to do with the office or person of the Chief of Defence. This is for the awareness of the general public, please. defencehq.”
