Sao Paulo (Brazil) – The Brazilian police are currently investigating about 50 Brazilian soccer fans who allegedly pretend to be cripple to facilitate their entrance into stadia where the Brazilian team is playing.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the government allows fans with such a disability to pay half of the total cost of the ticket.

A ticket is sold for $90.

NAN gathered that the investigation followed an allegation that some of the `cripple’ fans usually jump up from their wheel chairs in jubilation whenever Brazil scored a goal against their opponents.

They were reportedly recorded on camera as they were jumping, dancing and hugging one another while standing on their two legs, apparently forgetting their `status’.

Some of them, however, were cautious and remained seated on their wheel chairs while jubilating.

NAN learnt that any of the “cripple“ fans discovered to have been pretending may be banned from watching football live for some time.

Meanwhile, the last 16 matches of the Mundial will begin on June 28 with Brazil taking on Chile in the city of Belo Horizonte.

Nigeria will on June 30 take on France in Brasilia in another round of the 16 matches.
