Jos – The Governor of Plateau, Chief Jonah Jang, on Friday expressed shock over the death of Mr Suleiman Bissalla, Managing Editor of the New Telegraph, in a bomb blast in Abuja on June 25.

Jang said in a statement signed by his Director of Press Affairs, James Manok, that Bissallah’s death was a “huge blow to journalism and journalists ’’ in the country.

“Gov. Jang is saddened that a promising life and career of a hard working Plateau State son and that of many Nigerians has been cut short by man’s wickedness to humanity,” the statement said.

The governor called for vigilance among Nigerians and prayed God to grant the relations of other killed victims, the fortitude to bear the losses.

He also prayed for quick recovery of people who suffered injuries in the blast that hit a shopping mall in the nation’s capital.

22 people were killed by the blast that killed the journalist who was reportedly at the mall to fix his phone.
