Editor killed in Abuja mall bombing

The Managing Editor (North) of New Telegraph Newspaper,Alhaji Suleiman Bisalla was among the 21 persons confirmed dead in Wednesday’s bomb blast at the EMAB Plaza in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, pmnewsnigeria.com has reported.

The 46-year old Bisalla was reported to have left the Abuja office of the New Telegraph newspaper at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for the EMAB plaza to fix his phone. The newspaper began operations late last year.

Bisalla’s corpse has been deposited at the Maitama General Hospital, where he and others killed in the blast were taken. He was the former Deputy Editor with the Daily Trust Newspaper in Abuja before he joined the New Telegraph newspaper last year.

He hailed from Gindiri in Mangul Local Government Area of Plateau State and held a masters degree in International Relations, which he obtained from the University of Jos.

He was married and had several children
