An explosion has reportedly occured at a football viewing centre in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital around the time of kick-off for FIFA World Cup match between Brazil and Mexico.
No casualty figures have been released though personnel at the Specialist Hospital in Damaturu have stated that a number of severely injured victims have been brought in for treatment.
The incident in Yobe comes barely two weeks after an explosion occured at another football viewing centre in Adamawa State, which left a number of football fans dead.
