Osogbo – Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Wednesday inaugurated a N47 million electronic library for the use of the state-owned College of Health Technology, Ilesa.

Speaking at the inauguration, Aregbesola said the initiative was aimed at providing an environment conducive for students and researchers.

Represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Temitope Ilori, Aregbesola said a prototype of the library had also been provided for the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Osogbo.

The governor said the facility would ensure that training in the institution was in tune with competitive standards.

He said his administration had also contributed to the welfare of health workers through the implementation of the CONMESS and CONHESS salary structure.

Also speaking at the forum, Dr Rafiu Isamotu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, urged the students to make the best use of the library and its facilities.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the library is equipped with computer sets and other electronic accessories.
