World champions Spain have released a 30-man provisional squad list ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with 11 players coming from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Veteran midfieders Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Andres Iniesta and goalkeeper Iker Casillas head a list of regulars, which also include Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Sergio Ramos

Brazilian born striker Diego Costa has been called up as well by Spain coach Vincente Del Bosque along with uncapped Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, who makes the list due to the long-term injury picked up by Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes.

Also called up is Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke, Bayern Munich duo Javi Martinez and Thiago Alcantara, Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and his club teammate Cesar Azpilicueta.

Notable names who have not been called up include Real Madrid midfielder Isco, Athletic Bilbao duo Iker Muniain and Ander Herrera, Arsenal left back Nacho Monreal and Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado.

Del Bosque will further trim the Spain squad to 23 players after the friendly match against Bolivia on May 30, ahead of the June 2 FIFA deadline for final squad lists to be submitted.

The Spaniards would then face El-Salvador on June 7 before opening their World Cup campaign with a Group B match against The Netherlands on June 13, going on to face Chile and Australia in subsequent group matches.
