Victor Oshioke, Spokesman​ of the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, has described a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Mr. Blessing Agbomhere, as a delusioned man who is seeking undeserved attention.
Agbomhere had during the week while denying his alleged suspension from the Etsako Central wing of the APC, described the former Governor as a coward who could no longer tolorate his rising profile in the State.
He also accused Oshiomhole and the Deputy Governor of the State, Philip Shaibu, as the brain behind his suspension.
But responding to Agbomere’s allegations, Oshioke described Agbomhere as a noise maker  who neither has respect for party structures​ nor observe rules and guidelines of the party, adding that he, (Agbomhere), is pained by his losses both at the Governorship and House of Representatives primary elections of the party.
“All that he is interested in is how to get elected into office, without passing through the process. He only joined APC a few months ago and already he has contested and lost the primaries for both the Governorship and House of Representatives.
“The outcome of these primaries is the cause of his anger and pain. Somehow he believes that political office is his entitlement and so he should have been given a ticket without the rigors of a primary contest.
“For him, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole should have anointed him as the sole candidate for the House of Representatives primaries, and since this did not happen, he has channeled all his anger, pains and frustrations at Oshiomhole,” Oshioke said.
While stressing that the former Governor had no hand at all in Mr. Agbomere’s political travails, Oshioke noted that Oshiomhole is neither from Agbomere’s Ward nor from his Local Government Area, and so, could not have influenced his suspension.
“Oshiomhole has more important issues to deal with at both the national and state levels​, [than] to be meddling in politics at the ward level.
“Ironically, Mr. Agbomere claims that Oshiomhole is afraid of his rising political profile. If I may ask, where is his rising political profile, is it only on social media? because that’s actually the only place where his voice is still heard.
“How can someone lay claim to a rising political profile and at the same time he is suspended from his party at the Ward and LGA level? The 10 ward party Chairmen in his LGA all signed his suspension letter and they are calling on the State party Chairman to also suspend him at the state level, for anti party activities.
“Is it Comrade Adams Oshiomhole that advised him to flout party rules? Is it Adams Oshiomhole that advised him to take the party to court without first seeking redress within the party?
“Every man creates his own path to fame and Blessing Agbomere has chosen one of ignominy, character assassination and blackmail as his surest path to fame. His profile as a dishonest, disgruntled young man whose only preoccupation is attacking Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on social media is indeed rising.
“But it is a rising profile of dishonor that will take him no where politically and in life. You cannot aspire to lead if you have no respect for leaders.
“Whether Mr Agbomere likes it or not, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is the leader of APC in Edo state. He was so endorsed by the state caucus of the party,” Oshioke affirmed, adding that “if Agbomere cannot accept that simple fact, he should seek political refuge elsewhere.”
