5 killed in multiple suicide attack in Borno

 Five people were killed as suicide bombers detonated explosives at three different locations in Muna area of Borno State early Wednesday morning, Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has confirmed. 

The areas affected, according to NEMA, Muna Usmani, Muna Garage and Muna Ethiopia respectively.

The agency said the incidence in which 11 others were injured occurred around 4: 11 am on Wednesday.

The casualties include four suicide bombers and a member of security volunteer group known as Civilian JTF.

A spokesperson for NEMA, North-East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim disclosed that response agencies including emergency workers from Borno State Emergency Agency (BOSEMA) promptly responded to the distress call.

Ibrahim said: “We have since taken the injured persons to the hospital for proper medical attention while the dead bodies have been deposited in the mortuary.”
