Sen. Olorunnimbe Mamora on Friday said the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to the country from medical vacation in London was a thing of joy, which should gladden the hearts of Nigerians.

“It is a thing of joy that the President returned to the country today.

“ I am sure the entire Nigerian society is happy with the arrival of Mr President,’’ Mamora told with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Mamora said that Nigerians from all parts of the country had been praying for him while he was away and would be happy their prayers were answered.

“Nigerians prayed for God’s restoration of his health so that he would be back to the country and continue the work the he started.

“We thank God for bringing him back safe and sound.

“He has his visions for the country and he has programmes which he is pursuing very vigorously with his team, starting from the Vice President and members of the Federal Executive Council and all others.”

Mamora urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the president that God would sustain him in good health, so that he would achieve all he had set out to do for the country.

NAN reports that Buhari left Nigeria on Jan. 19 for a vacation in London and was scheduled to return to work on Feb. 6.

He said that during his visit to UK, he would also conduct some medical checks.

However, a day to his resumption, he had requested for an extension of his holiday, following the recommendation of his doctors that he wait for further tests and rest.
