Girl friend killer arrested, confesses to crime in Delta State

A 25-year-old student of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashbi Uku, Mr. Lionel Ochia, has confessed to the gruesome murder of a female student in the institution, Miss Juliana Onorimuakpo.

The HND student of the Mathematics and Statistics Department of the Polytechnic who was arrested by operatives of the Delta State Police Command, told journalists at the police headquarters in Asaba, that he perpetrated the dastardly act along with another fellow student of his department, Chuks Agbadobi.

Narrating the motive behind the murder, which was committed with a matched and stick, the confessed killer,

The murder suspect, a native of Ogume in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the State, confessed that they killed their victim, Juliana, because she accused him of stealing her ATM card in which account was fraudulently debited to the tune of N140,000.

He said even though he denied the accusation, the late Juliana continued to spread the accusation, a situation which he could no longer tolerate.

According to him, he said on the fateful night, he and his partner in crime, Chuks Agbadebi, who is now at large, locked the deceased in her room, murdered her, threw the keys into the dark, made away with late Juliana’s handsets, ATM Cards, and other valuables and flee to Ozoro where he was nabbed by security men.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, said the motive of the duo who went to confront the deceased in her room was evident by the outcome of the gruesome murder they perpetrated.

The PPRO, who revealed that the police has spread their dragnets for the runaway accomplice, Agbadobi, assured that he would be arrested in no distant time.
