The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Chafe has called on Nigerians to join hands in ensuring the success of the fight against corruption by the Buhari administration. The commissioner made the call while speaking with journalists in Lokoja Friday.

Chafe described corruption as the root of most evils that had continued to set the nation backward as well as aiding and abetting criminalities across the country.

The police boss commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his efforts in the war against corruption and elimination of criminal elements in the state. He noted that the recent distribution of 104 Patrol Vehicles by the Bello led government to security agencies in the state had seriously contributed in the reduction of crimes in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

The commissioner attributed the success recorded in combating crimes in the state to the unfiinching support and assistance extended to the security agencies by Governor Bello.

He gave an assurance that the state police command will not hesistate to reciprocate the gesture through hard work and dedication to duty in tracking down criminals in their hide outs.

“Criminals should try to repent now or be ready to relocate from Kogi state” the commissioner warned.
