FIFA president, Gianni Infantino arrived in Nigeria on Sunday evening for a two day visit to the country once considered the powerhouse of African football.
Infatiano landed at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja aboard Lufthansa Airline just after 5 p.m was by Secretary General of the football governing body, Ms Fatma Samba Samoura.
Amaju Pinnick, the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Ifeanyi Uba and other members of the Federation welcomed him at the Airport. A cocktail will be organized at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel to welcome the FIFA President and his team to Nigeria later in the day.
The FIFA President and the Secretary General are expected to pay a courtesy call on President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Monday before leaving Nigeria later in the day. (photos: FEMI IPAYE)
