As the scarcity of Petroleum products bites harder in Port Harcourt,the Rivers State capital, the Rivers State Government has appealed to the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, to call off its strike in Rivers and Bayelsa States in the public interest.
The statement signed by the Commissioner of Information and Communication Dr. Austin TAM-George said officials of the state government and that of NUPENG, management of UNITRAM Nigeria Limited, Fedison manpower company, representatives of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company PPMC and the commissioner for energy and Natural Resources have been holding meetings on how to resolve the impasse.
