Ted Cruz: no reaction yet to stories on sex scandal

The internet is agog over the snowballing report of an alleged sex scandal involving Senator Ted Cruz, who is politically immersed in a game of catching up with Republican front runner,  Donald Trump.

Although the story is yet to be picked up by America’s mainstream media, such as The New York Times or the Washington Post, it is being spread  by obviously ‘Trump supporters’, who felt that the scandal may be the machine gun needed to  ruin Cruz’s political career and his chances to offer Trump a challenge to the Republican nomination.

The National Enquirer, the US scandal magazine claims that Cruz had affairs with five women, including having sex with one of them in a closet.

Trending with the hashtag, #CruzsexScandal,  it is suspected that it may be the handiwork of Trump’s or Kasich supporters who may want to derail his claim for the presidential ticket in November.

Many Twitter posts suggest the story is a well calculated hatchet job by the Enquirer as the owners of Enquirer have a chummy relationship with Donald Trump.

Trump supporters gushed about the alleged scandal, taunting Cruz with his avowed Christian ethics and family values and an assumed betrayal of his wife.

There is no reaction yet from Cruz and his team and no candidate has made a remark of it.( Read: Cruz denies all)

The spreading scandal comes amidst a  feud between  Donald Trump and Ted Cruz over their spouses, with Cruz calling Trump “a sniveling coward” for threatening his wife on Twitter.

The senator from Texas also sharpened his attacks on Trump’s conservative credentials, linking the brash billionaire to disgraced New York politicians Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner.

Cruz continued bashing Trump for making Cruz’s wife, Heidi, a target of social-media barbs.

“I have to say, seeing him go deeper and deeper into the gutter, it’s not easy to tick me off,” Cruz said at a news conference while campaigning in Dane, Wisconsin. “But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, it’ll do it every time.

“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward,” Cruz said. “Leave Heidi the hell alone.”

Cruz’s remarks were the latest burst of hostility between the two camps, which earlier this week erupted into full view when Trump accused Cruz of posting a nude photo of Melania Trump on Twitter. Trump responded by threatening to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife, Heidi.

Cruz denied having anything to do with the image, which was part of an attack by an anti-Trump Super PAC, Make America Awesome.

“Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life,” Cruz said in a post on Twitter earlier on Thursday.

Cruz’s tweet followed one moments earlier by Trump in which he retweeted an image featuring a less-than-flattering picture of Heidi Cruz juxtaposed with a glamorous photo of Melania.

The back-and-forth was too much for Senator Lindsey Graham, a former presidential candidate, who blasted both men in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show on Thursday.

“Talk about things that people really care about, and knock this crap off because these are serious times, and you’re not behaving like you want to be president of the United States,” he said.

For Trump, attacking another candidate’s wife may carry some political risks.

Half of U.S. women say they have a “very unfavorable” view of the billionaire businessman, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling in March.

Cruz fared better, with 24 percent of the 5,000 women surveyed saying they had a “very unfavorable” view of him.

The Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton, did worse than Cruz but better than Trump, with 36 percent of women polled saying they had a “very unfavorable” view of her. The poll had a credibility interval of 2 percentage points.

You bet! This story was a teaser letting Cruz lie his way out. Just wait for the rest to come pouring out!

Nicely said. I’m fed up with these $2 phony tent revival preachers – hypocrites, all.

I don’t think so. When Trump tweeted that he would “spill the beans” on Heidi, I think he really meant Ted, but was deflecting the attention, because he didn’t want folks to think he set this up. I don’t think he set this up at all – that’s Cruz’s style. That threat came after this article went to press. Melania was attacked by the Cruz campaign on national TV in early March as the first First Lady to have posed nude, etc., & Cruz campaign chief, bought the photos to use expressly to sway Utah voters. Also, Glenn Beck made some vicious remarks against Melania. Trump had had enough. Cruz’s “outrage” wasn’t anger, it was fear. Also, there’s evidence that Marco Rubio sent this out. Remember the Alaska e-mail that Rubio was dropping out & the false Bible statement with his dad? Rubio could kill 2 birds with 1 stone – rat out Cruz & he’ll never recover & Cruz’s accusations will taint Trump. Voters will go Kasich & there will be a contested convention to which the establishment favorite will swoop in to save the day. NE would never print a bombshell article like this w/o backup especially against a shark lawyer like Cruz. The libel suit would be a killer. Info will drip, drip out over the next few days complete with videos, statements, etc. I feel for his children.

Trump didn’t have to give it to anyone as the affairs were well known by the DC insiders. Breitbart suppressed the story cause they support Cruz.

  • Fran says:

And Breitbart suppressed it, and still hasn’t reported on it. Breitbart is owned by a Cruz supporter.

The Enquirer’s story is right. They will not be exposing themselves to libel lawsuits if they don’t have evidence to back the story. They broke the John Edward, Tiger Woods and Gary Hart’s stories and all were true!

This is Good Friday, but out feeling is Easter Sunday. Crackpot Glenn Beck should know that he has no business using God´s name or speaking on God´s behalf to scare people into voting for his loved one Ted Cruz for US President. My vote goes to the Donald J. Trump and I do not believe in the false god Glenn Beck preaches.

  • Anatole Pushkin says:

Poetic justice to nasty Calgary-born Ted Government Shutdown Cruz. My vote goes to the Donald J. Trump whether he runs as Republican, Democrat or Independent. I´m sure crackpot Glenn Beck will now demonize the Enquirer like an aggrieved, jilted other woman.

  • vrm says:

they actually knew about this but suppressed the MSM.

  • vrm says:

Trump is nearly 70 years old, born into a well connected family, He probably knows everyone in certain social circles and well connected himself. This is actually old news and was initially dug up by Rubio’s campaign but never aired.

I think trump handed it to them on purpose. It was time as he awaited Cruz to attack and the. Gave them the pieces they needed. I dislike trump, but…well played.

  • ex sea org member says:

There is no doubt the report by the enquirer is based on fact.

Cruz has taken the moral high ground throughout this campaign and the entire argument against trump has been a moral one.

    That argument is gone.

If the GOP can go after Bill Clinton for just getti a BJ then I expect them to literally destroy Cruz for the affairs.

He just lost several million votes. He is no longer a viable GOP nominee.

    Nice knowing you Cruz, Caio.

Amanda Carpenter just got called out on CNN. She blew up.

  • Cheryl Freedman says:

Trump was sitting on this for awhile. The Enquirer beat him to the punch. This doesn’t surprise me, Cruz is an arrogant, self serving, narcissistic hypocrite. No wonder his wife was a danger to herself. Living with this creep would do it. He knew about the photos of Melania & let it go to win Utah. What a disingenuous creep. He will use anyone or anything to win. Sad little man. He’s done. ” What goes around, comes around….”

    Death blow to Cruz’s campaign.
