Investigative journalists Anas Aremeyaw Anas video that caught on 34 Ghanaian judges and at least 130 other judicial staff  on tape for accepting money of legal favours, is now out.

Courtesy of Sahara Reporters, we now bring you the earth shaking video that has led to the suspension of 27 judges in Ghana by the authorities.

Anas  previously  organized a “Grand Premier” to unveil the video recordings incriminating these judges for the Ghanaian public. His first series of public screenings took place in  at the Accra International Conference Center and Global Cinemas.

This  video shows the following judges  accepting bribes from Anas and his team  (1) Justice Ajet Nassam; (2) Justice Essel Mensah; (3) Justice Charles Quist; (4) Justice Mustapha Logoh; (5) Justice Peter Dery; (6) Justice Yaw Ansu Gyiabuor; (7) Judge Albert Zoogah; and (8) Justice Ernest Obimpeh.

Also, audio of the judges accepting bribes was played on StarFM in Ghana and portions of the videos were played on UTV.

Anas had planned for a second set of screenings in Ghana’s second largest city Kumasi, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, but a legal injunction filed by one of the  judges exposed by the investigations has prevented Anas and the Golden Tulip Hotel from releasing any more content.

Judge Paul Dery, who filed a lawsuit against Anas on September 18th, 2015, says that his right to privacy has been violated and asked the court to jail Anas for breach of privacy.

Ghanaian President John Mahama has said that he would sack all the judges involved soon as it is established that they engaged in wrongdoing. The Ghanaian Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur,  already suspended seven judges recorded by Anas’ investigation this month.

VP Arthur suspended Justice Francis K. Opuku, Justice John Ajet Nasam, Justice Ernest Obimpeh, Justice Kwame Ohene Essel, Justice Ivy-Heward-Mills, Justice Gilbert Ayisi Addo, and Justice Kofi Essel Mensah—all of whom were exposed by Anas.

A special investigative panel has been formed to review Anas’ findings, which consists of three judges—one Supreme Court judge and two Appeals Court judges.
