It will be a bleak Eid-el-Kabir celebration for staff of Adavi local council in Kogi State, central Nigeria.

At about 10 a. today, armed bandits stormed  a new generation bank in Ogaminana, the council headquarters, killed  two policemen and two staff of the bank and then to further kill the joy of the council workers who had not been paid for months,  the robbers  carted away N25 million meant for the payment of their salaries.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ACP. Williams Aya who confirmed the incident said the police are strategizing to nab the bandits.

So far no arrest has been made.
