Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

The ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has, according to a report by dailymail.co.uk, issued a decree banning the barbaric execution videos his militants have become famous for. His reason: They do not want to offend other “Muslims, who might think the videos are scary for children.”

According to the report, he sent a letter to all of his media offices saying they were no longer allowed to show graphic, violent scenes in their carefully edited videos, which caught the attention of the wider world with the emergence of ‘Jihadi John’ in 2014.

However, while some within ISIS believe the videos are “not good for the image of the so-called caliphate”, others insist they “are good for intimidating their opponents.”

You know you can say “fuck.”

  • Patrick Greene says:

These aren’t facts but your interpretations of doctrine, which means nothing to me. In any case, all Abrahamic beliefs are destructive and, frankly, kind of silly.

  • RobinHood84 says:

Thank you! They just don’t want to believe the facts. He was a Christian, or at least that is what he proclaimed. Does it really matter? I don’t care which fairy tale anyone chooses, as long as it’s not imposed on all.

  • Danny Rench says:

    Your friggin brain dead!

  • cros99 says:

Come on Rtimus…you know full well that is not what I am implying. No argument about the politicians but, Israel is Not Muslim, they are Jewish. You can’t tell the players without a scorecard.

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

Well on that note Brandi it is time to end this thread, though I am curious how I am name calling and where I deflected the point. Also, where do you think the Catholic Church started.

  • Brandi says:

You’ve completely deflected my point and resorted to name-calling. I’ve heard it said, “People usually don’t want to know the truth. They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.” You can’t get around the scriptures that specifically condemn homosexuality. But anybody can repent of anything. So don’t act like God is cool with it when He specifically addresses it along with other sexual perversion. God doesn’t condemn people who don’t want to engage in it, and Jesus accepts any repentant person. That being said, we’re not talking about people who are repentant; we’re talking about people who flash their perversions in the face of others in the name of “tolerance”.

Beyond that, your facts are skewed at best. I don’t know where you’re getting your facts, but you need to do some serious research. Saying the Catholic Church began with Jesus is just as sacrilegious as the Muslims saying Jesus was a Muslim too.

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

They are also the most charitable organization in the world.

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

Hitler despised Catholics. Had many priests killed.

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

In many nations Islam as the state religion amd Islam as the government are one and the same. Iran a good example. Iran has a president and parliment, but the ayatollah (or the mullahs) control it all.

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

Now you have made the assertion, what do you back it up with? Be specific. Anyone can generalize. I am especially curious since Catholics were persecuted in this country; a church in Maryland was actually closed.

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

    Please do indeed!

  • trynfindit says:

    Please feel free to list.

  • riiiiight – and you’re clueless.

  • Caroline Carlson says:

Mr Rtimus actually my understanding is that mysticism refers to a gaining of spiritual knowledge or connection with the Devine through prayer or comtemplation. All religions have this concept that through prayer, meditation, concentration one connects with God. Christianity included. Though religions are used as a justification for war I don’t think they were created to induce war. There is a difference. We have many examples where defense of religion was cited for going to war but the reality is that it was a smoke screen for other reasons. Most often the real reason for war is to gain access to land or resources. Yes! you are referring to a Hindu concept when you say that all religions are valid.

  • Jim Kleinbrook says:

i apologize for calling you a moron. it was in very poor taste.

  • Rtimus says:

And the point your getting at is???? That your an idiot? With an opinion that not even a Neanderthal would believe? Its all good, you will stand in front of god and explain yourself to, just like all of us 🙂

  • Rtimus says:

Not mistaken for Dracula, hes what Dracula stories were created from.

  • Rtimus says:

He has 200 Billion dollars? LOL ya right. We would all be dead.

  • Rtimus says:

American politicians spread hatred fear and worse every day.

  • Rtimus says:

You are the reason people are lining up to join ISIS every day, just another stupid american.

  • Rtimus says:

LOL silly, what about whats going on right here in front of you? What about all your leaders being outright crooks and terrorists also? ISIS is the last of our worries, first we need to change leadership. They are worse than ANYTHING ISIS can do to us half way across the world.

  • Rtimus says:

Actually most of the DEATH has been about religion, Because the Catholics have killed more people than EVERY war in history combined. And yes IT WAS MOSTLY ABOUT RELIGION. But you are correct, american politicians are the root of most of the evil, if not all of it. The US is the Infidel and the rest of the world can see it from “outside the box” plain as day.

  • Rtimus says:

No hes actually 100% correct. The Rothschilds run and control the world like gods from behind the scenes. If money is the root of all evil they are the harbingers of death (and whatever they please) all over the world. They have funded countries, they have funded wars. And they are responsible for your PAID FOR house being taken away, because you never really “own it” at all THEY DO.

  • Rtimus says:

Why in the heck some country hasnt done away with that family of crooks is beyond me.

  • Rtimus says:

Actually it originated from the families father, who sent his FOUR sons out into the European world to start four seperate banks. Now they control the world literally. And they all need KILLED for thinking they deserve the right to play GOD.

  • Rtimus says:

LOL the US is broke compared to the bank, they own EVERYTHING. You know the people that take your PAID FOR house from you? The ones that have control of all money around the world not just US dollars? Actually this person you re putting down is 100% correct.

  • Rtimus says:

Yes thats what happens when the world is actually a Plutocracy 🙂 Were so brainwashed we think its ok to have our houses taken away by the bank.

  • Rtimus says:

And you know all this because? You have seen it? Or you listen to the american media? That can turn anything into a drama fest? Yes and Americans kill innocent people every day also so whats your point?

  • Rtimus says:

Its a shame you dont know political parties is all a bunch of cover up nonsense, put in place to keep idiots fighting with othr idiots. Works pretty good ya?

  • Rtimus says:

Since when? Ive never seen any kids killed by terrorists, and ive been over there. LOL they dont go out of there way to kill children anymore than an american soldier goes out of there way to kill a child.

  • Rtimus says:

American soldiers are Christians ya? They kill people every day.

  • Rtimus says:

Than you can tell that all your leadership are devils and liars? in Christians clothing 🙂

  • Rtimus says:

I believe the two of you are fighting the same fight here, just got words mixed up. Its simple really not all muslims are to blame for a few torrorists. If that was the case than all christians are guilty, because last i knew all politicians call themselves christians. And american politicians are a closer threat than any ISIS is.

  • Fly-N-D says:

No one said ALL Muslims just those using their form of THEIR religion so justify killing.

  • Rtimus says:

I researched it because its good to know what entity (that still exists) has killed more people than all the wars added together in history. ill be happy to start listing them. Its scary actually because they are still killing people today 🙂

  • Rtimus says:

I know they dont care, how does that make me a moron? All they care about is where there next million is coming from. If that makes me a moron than i guess im guilty

  • Rtimus says:

No i didnt forget, and thats not true at all. A few terrorists calling themselves Muslims doesnt mean a Dang thing. All the US politicians call themselves Christians, should we kill all Christians now?

  • Rtimus says:

No actually mysticism is frowned upon in Christianity. And studying your Chakra and learning to use your bodies energy is the same teaching learned in the occult or Witchcraft or even the Cabala. But if you know me you also know that i have stated in the past that religions in general were created to confuse and make us war with each other. No one religion is all right, but all of them combined is a sound religion.

  • Rtimus says:

What your implying than is we should kill all the Christians in the united states? Why not? All the politicians are claiming to be Christians, they are all terrorists. So we all need to be killed because our leaders are dirty rotten liars that use the word CHRISTIANITY for popularity? Or maybe we should kill all the Isralies tht wer are allied with? they are Muslims after all?

  • Rtimus says:

Have you ever been there? No didnt think so. Your argument is nonsense 1/3 of the world population is Muslim (more actually), does it look like 1/3 of the world is terrorizing us? GOD I HOPE NOT. You might as well kill all Christians also, the leaders of your own country are terrorists, they call themselves christians. Does that make ALL of us responsible?

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

Your anti-catholicism” is beginning to come thru loudly. The Catholic Church has its roots right to the Apostles. All was one until the Eastern Churches broke off from Rome. They believe Rome broke off from them. Not much has changed in the Eastern Tradition; we can all learn from that.Praying to Saints is tradition. In the ancient church, mostly martyrs. They were prayed to for intercession. We do not worship anyone but the triune God.
Confession in some form has always existed in the Church. But, only Jesus can forgive. The priest does not on his own,
The Bible as we know it came from the Church you despise, in the 4th century. The reason the Catholic Bible has the “extra” books, is we know Jesus read from them, as they were part of the Scriptures used in His time. After the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD, the leaders gathered and put it all back together. They did not include those book because they were not written in Hebrew. The King James version did not come about until the 17th century.

No,, the Pope never said Homosexulaity is okay. Never. What he did was emphasize what Jesus said. There are many “gay” people in our society who live celibate lives. Are they to be condemned also? They are still gay. Jesus surrounded Himself with sinners. Walked with them, taught them, and even selected one as an Apostle. That’s the point-to include all as much as possible.

  • Brandi says:

So… what you’re saying is Catholics don’t pray to saints? (1 Tim. 2:5) …Don’t confess to “Father’s”? (Matt. 23:9) …Don’t engage in “vain repetition (e.g. rosaries) like the heathen”? (Matt. 6:7) Because according to a lot of scriptures in the Bible, Catholics aren’t Christians… Especially the extra books in the Catholic Bible that aren’t in the regular Bible… The Pope on homosexuality: “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” when the Bible specifically says men who have sex with men will not inherit the Kingdom of God? (1 Cor. 6:9-10) The Bible teaches that people who unrepentantly continue in this sin – among others – will perish temporally and eternally. In what way is the Pope’s stance on homosexuality in line with Scripture?

  • Deacon John Berstecher says:

Brandi I would suggest an honest study of Catholicism, what the practice was before the Great Schism (many of which still exist in the Orthodox Churches today, and Eastern Catholic). If you are honest and open minded, there is no way your eyebrows won’t be raised.

The Pope does not teach that homosexuality is okay. Many “liberals” would like to think so, but that has not and never will happen.

He has taught however, that they should not be excluded from the Church; they must be loved a children of God. Jesus of course you know spent a lot of time with sinners.

You are right, bibles are not used at Sunday worship. Readings from Scripture do occur.
Simon Wiesenthal Center a good place to learn and debunk the myths of what happened during the Holocaust. Many priests and nuns were murdered by the Nazis.

I can assure you that one did not go down to the “monks” bookstore to buy a Bible. Until modern times, there were not widely available. Mass printing of any books did not occur ’til centuries later. The Noble class was generally the only one that was educated. One reason why education requirement for priests etc came about was to ensure that they could read the Scripture they taught from.
Remember, it was all one Church thru the 13th century (except for the Orthodox). Your average peasant did read the Bible on Sunday; he could never even afford one.

  • Jim Kleinbrook says:

politicians do not care about right or wrong, only the next election you dumb moron. lyndon johnson came from a long line of baptist ministers and sent thousands of americans to their deaths in vietnam. kennedy, a catholic, was assassinated because he did not want a war in vietnam.

  • Brandi says:

I married a man who was Catholic before he got saved and most of my friends are Catholic. The Pope as the highest witness of the Catholic Church has said enough to show the world where they stand, even if they won’t stand there tomorrow.

  • Brandi says:

    Angry much?

  • Brandi says:

That isn’t even remotely true. 1st off, the Catholic Church in its earlier years kept people from reading the Bible to maintain control. People were mostly illiterate in feudal Europe; only the clergy could read. 2nd, the Bible is made up of texts that date all the way back to 150 BC, and people could absolutely read them before the Dark Ages. 3rd, in my personal experience with Catholics I have NEVER seen a Catholic take a Bible to church (they receive Catholic Church-approved pamphlets). 4th: the Pope – by definition as the apparently greatest Christian among us – is teaching that homosexuality is okay even though the Bible specifically teaches that it is on the broad road to hell. 5th: the Catholic Church as an organization stood by as Hitler massacred countless Jews while “Protestants” (non-Catholics) hid Jews in the baseboards of their house.

Now whether individual Catholics read their Bible or not is not the case. There are plenty of MUSLIMS who read the Bible, and it does not make them Christians. The point is that the Catholic stance on fundamental Christian doctrines is skewed at best and denied at worst.

  • Brandi says:

Yeeaahhh… Last time I checked, Muslims said the same thing. Besides that, Catholics are not Christians. They believe that Mary was divine, they still hold to a priesthood system, do not teach grace/faith/repentance, do rosary prayers (Matt. 6:7) like Hindus and Buddhists… In no world was Hitler a Christian and he certainly wasn’t a Catholic either. But by Christian theology he certainly was demon-possessed. So Patrick I’m afraid you’re grossly mistaken.

  • Brandi says:

Or one Resident of these United States…

  • cros99 says:

I can’t and won’t defend Christianity for it has also brought a bloodbath to people over history. The problem with your statement is…we can’t change history, but we can learn by it. The radical Muslim movement is also a bloodbath brought to us by people who have learned nothing from others mistakes.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.

  • cros99 says:

Tom Bakers reply to you is exactly correct. Your feeling that terrorist activities has nothing to do with Islam is like saying aviation has nothing to do with gravity. Any government that is controlled by their religious leaders suffer from a high degree of fanaticism. Thus the separation of church and state.

  • trynfindit says:

And the basis for your research?

  • Rajab Tanimu says:

This religion of ours is forever hated by some “clouded-brained people” and will still be embraced by the wise men amongst the sheep. Thus making it prevail at the end of everything, when it will be too late for the ignorant to understand what’s going on. Think! Use your god-given brain for Allah’s sake.

  • Caroline Carlson says:

Mr Rtimus all religions are mystical belief systems. Yes I agree he was neither Christian nor Hindu. My point was that he picked randomly from different religions and his using the bible as a reference made him no more a Christian than his use of the swastica made him a Hindu. Why would a Christian use a Hindu symbol if he was a good Christian? The remarks I was responding to was someone quoting Hilter using Jesus’s outburst with the money changers at the temple as justification for his anti-Semitic actions. I actually do know quite a lot about Hinduism as I have been one for about thirty years. Not sure how one religion is more than a mystical belief system and another is just a mystical belief system. Close to Witchcraft? How?

  • Bob says:

And there is some actual proof of this assertion, other than the raving on a website for those with similar anti-Catholic beliefs as you appear to have? Hate filled rants like this are inappropriate no matter which side of the political spectrum you are on.

  • cros99 says:

Joel Wilson writes: “>>>>…Just compare how many people have been killed by Christians than Muslims.”<<<< No argument there Joel but, I can't change history. Two wrongs don't make a right.

  • Tom Baker says:

Yeah, nothing to do with Islam. OR NOT! I suppose the idea of Sharia came out of a Fortune Cookie? The same for killing infidels and crucifying Christians? Huh… you almost had me UNTIL I used common sense! The religion of Islam is the driving force behind what they’re doing. Your example of Christians and the political mess is like adding 2+2 and getting 6. IF, Christians were killing Hindu’s then it’s clear what the influence is.

  • Fly-N-D says:

Oh, I don’t know maybe just every swinging dick radical Islamist is all….or did you forget?

  • Jim Kleinbrook says:

you may be surprised to know how accurately wikkipedia, on many subjects, cuts right to the heart of many pedagogical topics in history and economics. it obviously is not meant to be a 700 page textbook from a big ten university on any given subject but is a very useful refresher. a good example would be the narodnik movement.

  • Jim Kleinbrook says:

hittler was lenin without a purpose and protestants are incapable of tolerance due to their functioning illiteracy, and sole reliance on the written word to receive “spirituality” .

  • Rtimus says:

Yup, he had a voice that could convince just about anyone. Its a occult practice to do that. Just ask any american politicians they know all about it.

  • Rtimus says:

Man someone does understand. And not just assume that Muslim and terrorist are one and the same thing, is so much nonsense. Its nice to know that we are not all blabbering idiots that think Muslims in general are to blame.
like i said above American politicians are terrorists also and they claim to be Christians does that make all of Christianity responsible? heck no it doesnt.

  • Rtimus says:

Its has literally NOTHING to do with the religion, its EXTREMISTS. And they just happen to be of the Muslim belief. .
But as we all know the AMERICAN politicians call themselves Christians and are actually terrorists also. So in america we have Extremists that CLAIM to be Christians. Just like in the middle east we have extremists that CLAIM to be Muslims, but just because they grew up in that nation doesnt make them MUSLIM. Just because politicians grew up here and CALL themself christins for popularity and VOTES doesnt make them Christians.

  • Rtimus says:

Lets be real LESS people would have died if TWO nuclear weapons hadnt been used. All that nonsense about less casualties is american rhetoric spread around to make ourselves feel better for using nuclear weapons.

  • Rtimus says:

Thats a bunch of american rhetoric, made up so we dont feel so bad about the two bombs. If we had fought a conventional war many LESS would have died lets be real.
But your right it had ZERO to do with anything Christian.

  • Rtimus says:

Hitler was an occultist, pagan practices have fed the occult for years. Pagan is a broad term and it is not a religion of its own, so please dont stand up for a broad term that covers anything not covered by modern religions. Hitler was a pagan and it fits very well.

  • Rtimus says:

A lot less were killed? lol thats what americans say but two nuclear weapons dropped doesnt save Japanese lives. Thats a farce made up by the US to justify using Nuclear weapons.

  • Rtimus says:

No Hitler was no Christian, he had a private mystic, and even a special part of the SS dedicated to finding Occult objects.

  • Rtimus says:

But there are leaders in the US that call themselves christians and they are responsible for MOST of this in the first place. Fake christians are responsible for a lot of this mess and its not 1000 years ago i mean right now this minute. Making deals with terrorists, stealing money from us, heck they are worse than any terrorist, because they will never be overthrown.

  • Phoenixrose says:

Most of the conflicts, throughout history, have not been about religion. They were all about power and money. Intelligent people place themselves in positions of power within a given religion/cult, and then brainwash less intelligent people to feel a religious duty to kill, torture, and intimidate…all in the name of said religion. In the end? The intelligent people in positions of power within those religions/cults, become richer, and/or more powerful, and they do it by controlling what their followers see and hear and believe. People are easily lead astray by diversional BS and propaganda, down paths that have them taking up arms against one another to defend their narrow views. I believe that if we step outside our petty rivalries and stop bogging down the conversation with trivial arguments that really have no relevance, then we might–just might–see a bigger, uglier, more frightening picture when we look at world affairs today.

  • Rtimus says:

They are hardly trying to take over the world. What we need to be concerned about is the leadership of all the countries involved. ESPECIALLY the US crooks. No dont leave it in the past, it shows these fools that MUSLIMS as a whole are not to be blamed for this, like so many “people” seem to think.
Actually i would surprised if the US government doesnt have a LOT to do with this.

  • Rtimus says:

Thats not true at all, it shows us who the real evil is and STILL is. Catholics have killed more people than any religion or wars and they are also the wealthiest single entity in the world (still today). How is that not important? Also comparing the atrocities tells the MORONS that think this is a religous issue thats its NOT AT ALL. Its a MINORITY of ONE religion causing problems. And thats hardly enough to justify all the HATE people are tossing at Muslims because of this ONE GROUP.

  • Rtimus says:

So every politician in the united states is wrong. YUP

  • Rtimus says:

History is how you learn from past mistakes, JUST SO YOU KNOW.

  • Rtimus says:

Right and wrong doesnt need religion to exist, but religions are a good moral compass. Much better than the nonsense this generation is growing up to believe, with zero religious guidance. Besides what evil is raising its head in the guise of religion now? Nothing and no one.

  • Rtimus says:

I have looked at history, the Catholics win when its comes to death tolls, by a LONG SHOT.

  • Rtimus says:

LOL Hitler had NOTHING to do with Christianity AT ALL. He had his own private mystic and occult advisors. If you knew anything about HINDU at all you would know they are nothing more than a mystical belief system very close in fact to Witchcraft. And follow pagan gods that are KILLERS. LOL

  • Rtimus says:

That is SO NOT true. Just making up history now? Recognized Jews for what they were? HE WAS A JEW. You have no clue and shouldnt even be allowed in front of a keyboard. Claiming to be Christian and spouting that NONSENSE.

  • Rtimus says:

How will we be shocked? The Catholic religion is responsible for more death than all wars in history combined. Nothing shocking there as they are also the WEALTHIEST entity in the world.

  • Rtimus says:

Actually Catholics have killed more people than ALL wars we have had in history combined. Thats a lot more that “killing certain religious groups”.

  • Rtimus says:

Ya well “European nations have ben helping us. IT says right in the article he doesnt want MULIMS to get the wrong idea.

  • Rtimus says:

Has nothing to do with the religion. Get it straight. So tired of seeing people blame a religion thats practiced by over 1/3 of the world for a few idiot terrorists. Thats like saying Christians are responsible for the political mess that the US is in, they have nothing to do with it.

  • Walter Williames says:

And the award for “Changing the subject of Islamic Terrorism to ancient crimes of Christianity” goes to Joel Wilson!
When the hell are you people that want to turn the discussion to Christianity going to learn that you are helping and defending the actions of the terrorists?
Sure we can go back to ancient times and find all sort of atrocities at the hands of all religions. But we are not living in those times. Trying to justify what is going on in todays world at the hands of Muslim Islamic Terrorists by comparing these horrors to ancient atrocities is intellectually dishonest and best.

  • Thunder Lizard says:

By “pagan” I meant non-Christian. I would agree that there are lots of stripes and variations of pagan beliefs. The Nazis co-opted and twisted some ancient Germanic & Norse traditions and symbolism such as the swastika (as well as just plain making up stuff) to synthesize into their new religion of the Reich. My point was there was nothing Biblical or Christian about what Hitler and the Nazis believed or did as Joel Wilson implied.

  • Debbrisean Fowler says:

So it is wrong to fear someone who wants to kill you in the name of their religion?

  • Debbrisean Fowler says:

    Are they really “perverting” Islam?

Here is a question for you: If a person follows all the teachings of their holy book to the best of their ability, would you not consider them a “good” adherent? So if a Christian tries their best to follow all the teachings of Christ, they are considered a “good” Christian, right? On the other hand, a Christian who picks and chooses what parts of the New Testament he/she practices might be considered a hypocrite.

The Koran and Hadith have many verses that urge Muslims to
commit violent acts against “infidels,” from the Surah of the Sword
and onward. So would not a Muslim who follows all the teachings of Mohammad found in the Koran and Hadith be a “good” Muslim? Are they really “perverting” Islam?

  • They’re all rag heads and they are the reason we have nuclear bombs – turn them into pieces of glass.

  • Debbrisean Fowler says:

There are many people who name the name of Christ who are not, in fact, Christian. Jesus told us how to know if someone was a true Christian or not: “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:16-23

Acknowledging the past and bringing it up to compare atrocities by different religious groups to condemn, condone, or justify current or future atrocities is two entirely different concepts and one should not be confused with the other.

  • Allah says:

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE!!!!!!! Let’s please remain human, remember the horrors of the past in the context it should be remembers as: Jesus- Peaceful, Loving, Savior, but no long living in the flesh; Muhammad- Peaceful, Loving, Prophet; Hitler- Dictator, Hater, Murderer, but luckily no longer living in the flesh; al Baghdadi- DICTATOR, HATER, MURDERER, but still alive and continuing to spread his hatred and murdering schemes around the world. Stay within the context and talk about the fact that there is a murdering schemer, and he is a murder that does not perform the murders, he just hires out. He preaches peace to his own people, but does not respect the rest of the world. There are millions more of us peaceful and loving people, than there are of his hating and murdering kind, unless we all want to murder each other. Let’s show him and his kind how peaceful and loving we can be to each other as Islamist, Jewish, Christians, Hindus, Buddhist, including Muslims, Blacks, Asians, Whites, Indians, etc. COEXIST>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Mikepress2007 says:

Why do liberals still make that point? ISIS doesn’t. We didn’t have the internet or 24/7 news during past history.
Maybe history would have turned out different. So let the body count get to the level of the Crusades and then and only then can we “Christians” file a complaint. News flash the’re killing more than just christians. Pick another point. That one is old now.

Catholics do not worship Mary. We do read the Bible. It is only during the last couple centuries that Christians reading the Bible became commonplace, as they were not available for widespread use. What did the early Christians use? No Bible as we know it existed. The teachings of Jesus are the foundation of the Church, along with the teaching authority given it thru the Apostles, and Tradition – what the Church has ALWAYS taught.

Politically it makes sense to tone down the imagery. Daesh (ISIS) has taken and held territory. The have a government and if you can believe it, have currency. It seems like no one is really too interested in uprooting them. It may not even be in the USA’s interest to do so. Daesh hates Iran and it’s Shia population even more than they hate America. Iraq has been turning into an Iranian proxy state after all.

Don’t mistake what I said as supporting them. I would would see every last one of them impaled like Vlad Tepes would have down. Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia or — as he is better known — Vlad the Impaler often mistake for Dracula.

ISIS are a bunch of fucking cowards and pussies! What kind of fucking lunatic thinks that everyone who isn’t Muslim should die? Fucking dumb asses! People existed long before any religion, especially psycho Muslims. The definition of Jihad:

1: a holy war waged on behalf of Islam as a religious duty; also : a personal struggle in devotion to Islam especially involving spiritual discipline

2: a crusade for a principle or belief.

Like I said, fucking lunatic, psychotic, delusional cowards and pussies.

If Hitler was such a ” good Christian” why did he fly the swastika which is a sacred symbol to the Hindus? He didn’t use the cross? He took a beautiful ancient symbol that is loved by literally millions and millions of people and now the west only sees it as a symbol of hate and oppression. I also don’t remember Jesus killing anyone when he dislodged the money changers from the temple. He wasn’t angry with Jews as a race he was enraged that people were led to believe that ” salvation” could be purchased. Buying salvation was also a common practice for centuries in the Catholic Church so not only the Jews tried this tactic. My friend why on earth would anyone cite the words of Hilter unless they had some seriously racist tendencies?

FYI all: In preparation for the anticipated Ground war in Japan, the US prepared the Purple Hearts they felt needed for the anticipated Casualties of the Ground Assault. Then The Bomb worked, was dropped…Japan was offered a chance to surrender, they didn’t do so…the Second Bomb was dropped…they were offered the chance to surrender and they took it. What happened to the Purple Hearts the US had made…..They are still being issued…..There are so many in anticipation of the 1 million to 1.5 million US Causalities of a Ground Assault of the Japanese Home Islands that the US has never had to make another casting of them to this day. FYI All: The Japanese casualties were anticipated to be at the low end of estimates to be 5 Japanese casualties to every 1 American casualty. That is 5million to 7.5 million at the LOW end of the casualty estimates.

Lets point out the facts here. I see many comments debating religion, and who killed whom in the name of God. I am a Christian, but I am not a part of those Christians in the past. I know its popular to point out the blood shed by Christians or religion in histories past. In order to sympathize or prove we all are sinners in order to understand on what is going on here in the world. Though let me make one thing clear, true Christians, Muslims or any religion do not kill because God said so. God does not want us to harm our brothers and sisters here on this planet (that includes those who come from different paths of religion, nationalities, race/skin color, or gender). Only the corrupted man kills/harms in the name of God to get what they want for their own gain. Which most of the time it is to obtain land or spread their influence on the masses. Those people are the type of people (church, organization or cult) that twist God’s history to what they want it to be. Using the bible (or religious history) to prove their own agenda. Which those people are just dumb lambs to the slaughter. If you are a true person of God (or what ever you call him), you will rise above the small detail and see the bigger picture of God’s true meaning and sacrifices for us. That is we should treat all our brothers and sisters on planet earth like how you would like to be treated. Though as long as there is hate in the world, there would always be evil men. Using what ever they can (that includes God name and word) to get what they want, and the weak will follow them not knowing any better.

…under the leadership of Rosenberg, Bormann and Himmler, who were backed by Hitler, the Nazi regime intended eventually to destroy Christianity in Germany, if it could, and substitute the old paganism of the early tribal Germanic gods and the new paganism of the Nazi extremists. As Bormann, one of the men closest to Hitler, said publicly in 1941, “National Socialism and Christianity are irreconcilable.”

What the Hitler government envisioned for Germany was clearly set out in a thirty-point program for the “National Reich Church” drawn up during the war by Rosenberg, an outspoken pagan, who among his other offices held that of “the Fuehrer’s Delegate for the Entire Intellectual and Philosophical Education and Instruction for the National Socialist Party.” A few of its thirty articles convey the essentials:

    1. The National Reich Church of Germany categorically claims the exclusive right and the exclusive power to control all churches within the borders of the Reich: it declares these to be national churches of the German Reich.
    5. The National Church is determined to exterminate irrevocably…the strange and foreign Christian faiths imported into Germany in the ill-omened year 800.
    7. The National Church has no scribes, pastors, chaplains or priests, but National Reich orators are to speak in them.
    13. The National Church demands immediate cessation of the publishing and dissemination of the Bible in Germany…
    14. The National Church declares that to it, and therefore to the German nation, it has been decided that the Fuehrer’s ‘Mein Kampf’ is the greatest of all documents. It…not only contains the greatest but it embodies the purest and truest ethics for the present and future life of our nation.
    18. The National Church will clear away from its altars all crucifixes, Bibles and pictures of saints.
    19. On the altars there must be nothing but ‘Mein Kampf’ (to the German nation and therefore to God the most sacred book) and to the left of the altar a sword.
    30. On the day of its foundation, the Christian Cross must be removed from all churches, cathedrals and chapels…and it must be superseded by the only unconquerable symbol, the swastika.

It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow my self to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows . For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.” –Adolf Hitler, in a speech on 12 April 1922 (Norman H. Baynes, ed. • Thunder Lizard says:

Hitler may have come into life a nominal Catholic but he and the Nazi Party were pagans. Read up on some the beliefs of the Nazi Party, the secret rituals, the occult practices – all pagan, nothing to do with Christianity. The Nazis planned to exterminate Christianity. In 1937 Protestant churches issued a manifesto against Nazi policies and as a result 700 pastors were arrested. Outspoken evangelistic churches and pastors continued to be persecuted. (Read about Dietrich Bonhoffer). Lukewarm, “progressive” churches that toed the Party line were left alone – for the time being.

The bomb on Japan – World War II was not a religious war so that is specious argument. Japan attacked first, at Pear Harbor, the Philippines and Guam. War was declared on Japan and from then on it was total victory or total defeat for both sides. It was not a “police action” or “containment” like the wars of the past 50 years that everyone is used to – where there is no resolution for the blood and treasure expended. Not dropping the bombs left the alternative of the war in the Pacific continuing another six months to a year and another 500,000 casualties. Even one bomb was not enough to get Japan to quit. It took two before they realized it was the end.

Instead of arguing we should be working together to deal with the problems at hand. Christian this and Muslim that and this one did this and this one did that. Stating that Christians killed back 400 years ago and further is like saying that the whole world was killing. The whole world was barbaric back than… a thousand years ago…400 years ago…100 years ago and right now. Forget the “teams” like blame shifting. Face it, the whole world is generally screwed up – in real bad shape and getting worse. We needed to rid the world of Hitler and we needed to stop the Japanese. We all know about the nazi’s horrors and in case you didn’t know about the Japanese horror’s than you should reads the “Rape Of Nanking 1938”. The United States is not always right and we are often wrong but generally speaking we usually err on the side of good – not evil. We need to stop arguing and work together people.

  • ISpy says:

The mistake here lies not in the numbers but in the words “Christian” and “Muslim”.
Sometimes religion is a cause – or at least an excuse – like in the
bombings by Christian extremist Eric Rudolph or the genocide in Sudan.
But most often it is not. Calling, say, the 9/11 terrorists “Muslim” is
like calling Hitler “Christian”: It’s misleading. It is
Islamophobia, not a serious attempt to understand the world as it is.

  • Ryan Discher says:

I can’t wait for your thorough analysis! Please, what does “history” have to say? To be inside your brain for a minute, I can’t imagine.

  • Spencer Ewing says:

Hitler was no Christian my friend, history doesn’t lie about that either. You are right though that Christians have been guilty of killing certain religious groups in the past, especially in medieval times. That’s why it’s so important that we as Christians read God’s Word so that we are continuously learning and striving to be the kind of people that God wants us to be.

  • Ryan Discher says:

And one more thing, you don’t have to wonder, its amazing that facts are recorded. 129,000 japanese were killed by the two atomic bombs. Again, because you clearly are too lazy to research or pick up a book, nothing is as simple as you have framed it to be. Remember, the Japanese attached the U.S. first, and sought to destroy us. Our only other option was a full scale invasion of Japan, and an estimated 2 million American and Japanese were estimated to die, it was extremely well fortified. The bomb was chosen to eliminate American fatalities and significantly reduce Japanese fatalities. And, are you implying this was a “christian war?” I’m not really clear what point you are trying to make, if you intended to make one at all.

  • Randy says:

We did not drop the bomb on Japan because we were Christians. We dropped the bomb on Japan because we were attacked first and were only defending ourselves. Check the facts, a lot less Japanese were killed with the bomb than if we would have invaded mainland Japan.

  • Constantine Valantasis says:

Really? How many more? Just curios

  • Ryan Discher says:

Joel, people like you who make uneducated statements are dangerous. Hitler was not a Christian, in fact, he hated Christianity and sought to rid Germany and Europe of it. He declared Nazism the State Religion and had the Bible replaced by Mien Kampf in German schools. Nazis claims National Socialism (e.g. Nazism) and Christianity were irreconcilable. He made plans to kill the Pope, had thousands of Priests and Nuns killed, and famously said this, “It is through the peasantry that we shall really be able to destroy Christianity because there is in them true religion rooted in nature and blood.” He can best be described as a neo-fascist pagan who was pure evil.

Please, pick up a book and learn something before you make off the cuff ignorant statements from a position of low learning. There is more to knowledge than wikipedia.

This one guy tried to roll under the body of his neighbor but as they walked through to kill the ones they missed, they found him. He was flailing around as they were shooting him. I thought this guy would never die. But he did.
But ISIS execution videos are not as good as the Mexican cartel videos which are way more brutal. You know, since no one is interested in getting rid of ISIS, saying that it’s this long process that will take generations, might as well as treat what they do as normal and accept it.
