These photographs were taken by a witness at the Oluyole Bus Stop in Oregun, Lagos Nigeria. it shows women, men and the youth waiting to get their own share of the mini-bags of rice shared by campaigners for President Goodluck Jonathan last week.

Jonathan, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming general elections was in Lagos for four days meeting groups to solicit for support ahead of the election on 28 March.

Politicians have now taken to what is now popularly termed ‘stomach infrastructure’ since they believe that most Nigerians, apart from being poverty stricken, easily forget to ask questions about how they are governed.
